1) Register for Aegean Miles and More account here.

They currently have 1000 bonus registration miles free.

2) Book and fly business class on any of Star Alliance member airlines (200% of miles flown) using your Aegean Miles & Bonus number. (NOT VOYAGER, MILES & MORE, SHEBA, MILES & SMILES ETC).

3) The Aegean threshold is the lowest of Star Alliance to earn Gold status ( 20,000 miles needed – thats19,000 after the bonus given after registration).

The new criteria for retention is: 24,000 miles on Star Alliance network.
