The Park Hyatt Zanzibar sits on the premier corner of beachfront property in Stone Town. The main building of the hotel is one of the oldest and has had no architectural changes ( other than a lift added) due to heritage.
As a Diamond Hyatt member I received one of the most memorable suite upgrades here. Its amazing over the years of travel, meeting friendly staff from other parts of the world in a different hotel years later, this seems to become a common occurrence now that TraveLoyalty is running into the 3rd year of the website from one continents upgrades to the next.

Yes I burned a suite certificate (Diamond members get 4x per annum for unique confirmed suite upgrades) and further I contacted management prior using my Ultimate upgrade guide tips and I got a:

is absolutely stunning, spacious in both indoors and outdoors.
As with most suites, there is always a guest bathroom first door upon entry.
The lounge is kitted in the best of everything Park Hyatt style.
High ceilings throughout.
These windows are every few meters to the length of the suite opening onto the super long terrace.
The bedroom.
The level of quality changes the term four post to four pillars here.
High ceilings with wooden logs adorn the top, the same that the property was built with more than a century ago.

With 15 TraveLoyalty subscribers in Zanzibar we threw a birthday function on this terrace and Hyatt delivered the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted in my life.

Hyatt pays out the cash portion on points + cash bookings ( most hotel chains don’t) at 5 points per dollar spent times 30% as Diamond tier. So more points + more bonuses = more future stays the TL way. I Love this !
