This historical city lies on the north coast of Egypt on the Mediterranean sea. This second largest city is Egypt is also filled with ancient civilisation relics to visit.
The ocean is beautifully clear and the hotels are cheap, if not free.
How to get there ?
You could fly in with Egypt Air as a pricey option or rent a shuttle for the 2 hour plus drive from Cairo. Fuel is cheap in Egypt and every businessman loves to haggle so touring on road throughout can be a real bargain.
Where to stay ?
I couldn’t make my mind up which of the two Hiltons to park at so I chose both. One on the Mediterranean beach front and the other was at the Green Plaza Mall in the city.
Hiltons throughout Egypt are surprisingly cheap utilising Hhonors points, most of them run at 5000 points per night for a standard room. Blend this with Hhonors Gold elite status and you looking at a serious suite upgrade with meal perks. You wont need money for food, so that’s a absolute huge saving.

Here was something I was confused about and the pics may be the same. I was given the top sized suite above with both the inter-leading rooms unlocked. I enquired and they simply told me special Diamond upgrade, I mentioned I want something with a office and lots of space, then it hit me I managed to surpass the Gold tier finally in my last stay into top tier Diamond status, but all this space was way too much.
