Conrad Bali.
Bali, one of the most consistent wave rich places in the world and it has such a variety like very few other places on Earth. Rand friendly, super cheap to commute, many sights with cultural tours and good food makes it hit for all types on travellers. I’ve been going to Bali since 1998 however this time trip I chose to stay at the Nusa Dua side on the East coast due to the wet season setting in and more favourable winds resulting in perfect smooth surf.
Conrad Bali seems to be on many travellers lists, especially due to the low sales they been having so it would only be benefiting to do a review on scoring this property.
The booking: 49k HH Points per night.
Even though the cash sale price was low, booking a premium room on points was still the way to go. Strangely the premium rooms points rate per night loaded way lower than the standard rooms points rate.
See my booking screenshot HERE.
I clocked a huge amount of points In Seychelles some 6 months prior with all the Diamond TL bonuses. After spending bulk of the points for free Times Square New York, there were still plenty for Bali left ( as well as Conrad Singapore) Love this. Most travellers get minimal if not nothing back from their hard earned spend. Some wanna be bloggers would advertise follow us as we venture to Bali to get a standard dog kennel only to find out our elite clients are occupied in the dragons dens.
The upgrade.
Wow, blown away by this, I did not expect the size of this pad, 364sq meters to be exact ! We waited and sipped refreshments while the Conrad team put some extra touches to the suite. I’d rate this upgrade in my top 3 on sheer size. Reminded me of my Intercontinental Mauritius Presidential suite upgrade, read about it HERE.
Only drawback on such a mammoth size of a pad is if you have kids on the other wing and they need you in middle of the night, its a proper commute to the other side then to the kitchen then back to them, then back to your ‘worlds best’ comfy Serta Presidential Hilton Mattress only found in Waldorf Astoria’s and suites in Conrad’s. I love this super king mattress so much I got one for back home from a importer some years back.

What I got back after checkout:
As my stay was booked free on points I got the standard Diamond myway 1000 points per stay back.
Next up: The plush Bali Ritz Carlton done free, again on points.
Definitely going to highlight this gourmet breakfasts.
