The Royalty worthy St. Regis, Kuala Lumpur.

This fabulous new hotel is KL’s best, its so good that the King of Bahrain and The King of Malaysia were guests here during my stay. The hotel has featured many times on SPG Hot Escapes however I managed to get a greater deal over the phone whilst touring Singapore some days prior.

The Booking.

SPG has many many different specials, the Platinum line agent alerted me to a buy 4 get 2 free special working out to be a super low Zar 1700 per night. Game set. Game on.

We were collected at a designated meeting point by St. Regis for transfer to the hotel after flying in from JHB. To be honest I did not know what to expect, I did not even know this was a new hotel as I been banking on using Double Tree with HH points for years leading up to this trip.

The Upgrade.

Wow and wow. Whilst checking in I inquired about the best as a Platinum SPG as Royal and Presidential were taken by the Kings, I was offered the amazing Caroline Astor Suite. This was to be my best upgrade of all during 2017 travels. I have no idea of the per night rate, you may check it on SPG.com ( or soon to be merged to marriott.com )

The Bathroom.

This was the first stay I had that came with a fully automated loo, forget the word luxury this is a necessity, nothing will ever clean better after 5 minutes leaving you with that ‘ I feel like doing a marathon now’ type of healthiness after. If you encountered one of these, you will know what I’m talking about.

Advice: heat, full power ahead. Everything including drying is automatic.

The spa room.. in the suite ? say what?

Another first in my travels:

After work time its massage time with no more than 20 steps away from my office.

The Butler Service.

24 hour butler service, including complimentary tea and coffer as well as unpack and hang service. Id say this is a first again, whilst we had a butler service before in the very first TL trip in 2012 to Maldives by basically housekeeping, however it was never this professional as St. Regis prides themselves on.
