2. Hyatt buy points. My take and update.

This might only make sense for redemption at premium Hyatt properties on points rates alone as Hyatt has devalued their points + cash rates drastically on 1 Nov.

What was the worlds premium and best hotel chain for elites to burn points has suddenly hit a complete 180, however one thing unique is that one can use double the points per night for a confirmed premium suite booking, the type of suite is yet to be clarified from hotel to hotel…

I’ve recently had the opportunity of sitting down with Hyatt’s Vice President of Development and cited these concerns on the back track where other brands are pushing perks forward, he cited what many – a – Hyatt hotel manager has mentioned to me in this year “WOH is all about exclusivity and rewarding its top members”.  I still maintain if Hyatt continued to successfully bid for SPG and kept their previous loyalty program: Gold Passport they would be untouchable.
