1.  Marriott BONVoY launching.

The new name for the Marriott Rewards program launching on Feb’13th. I’ve advised many a time via social media / newsletters that personally I’ve put 80% of my 2017/2018 stays into the Marriott Rewards/SPG/Ritz Carlton Brands. The results are stellar especially now that Marriott has decided to keep the standard award points until March ( and not Dec 31st 2018 as initially forecasted).

If you thought 2014 was great and were blown away by the merger in 2017 wait till you taste what lies ahead in 2019-2020..

What does this mean?

Readers can now still use their Platinum Elite Status and Reward points to book all the cream of the crop brands and properties for a mere 48,000 points per night ( incl 5th night free). Some properties needed 270,000 points per night prior! Time to save hundred thousands of bucks in 2019 has just got a lifeline. Take advantage asap.

Also,

One can book bulk of stays ahead without the full points or any points in account as Marriott is the only hotel brand that one can book on credit up to a week of check in using points.

Even better:

These premium all suite properties including the all inclusive ones can be had on the highly discounted points rate.

Still better:

As Marriott (formerly a SPG perk) is the only program that gives a 25% bonus on transfers of points to airline miles, all those premium 1st and business class upgrades you’ve seen on my posts and Instagram are still easier than ever.

4. The Royal Suite of Conrad Makkah

Comes with its own massage chair. A first.

If you have been following my updates on travels on Instagram you would have seen we have currently done reviews of premium suites that are off the chart. Below is Conrad Makkah.

The size of this pad vs the other neighbouring rooms.

Located at the top of the hotel, at 247 sq. m. This amazing suite features two bedrooms with king and 2 queen-sized beds, as well as a separate lounge and a dining area with kitchen + the family essential = 2 full bathrooms, non of their other suites or rooms have this.
