Nestled on the Red Sea of Egypt, Hurgada is the first major city stop travelling south bound along the coast. The cities of Safaga, Quesir and Marsa Alam follows on the route, each with their own magical branded resorts with perks galore in-store for elites.
How to get there ?
You could fly in with Egypt Air as a pricey option or rent a shuttle. Fuel is cheap in Egypt and every businessman loves to haggle so touring on road throughout can be a real bargain.
I cant believe the amount of resorts and developments in the works on both sides of the highway when entering the Red Sea coastline. This must be a serious tourist destination to attract this enormous scale of investments that stretches on and on.
Where to stay ?
Coming off a long road trip from Alexandria via Cairo, I needed something economical for a night, as arriving late at a top of range hotel doesn’t yield the full benefits as opposed to arriving early and maximising a full day. Huragada has 3 Hiltons and they amazingly cheap on cash rates as well with package options.
Hello Hilton Hurgada Resort.
Like most Hiltons in Egypt this hotel goes for a mere 5000 points per night. Excellent value for challenges.
The booking proof.
The suite upgrade.
Hilton Honors diamond elite status got me the dragons den in this hotel by simply booking the dogs kennel ( on points for free) with complimentary breakfast + 1000 complimentary Hhonors points as a Diamond myway perk on checkout.
