JBR is a gem of Dubai. Its not as rat raced as the city centre and its not as isolated as The Palm. The accommodations, eatery’s, night life, social life and athletic life – this is where its all happening. The developers have truly done a remarkable perfect job with this beachfront where most other city’s have failed.

I chose Hilton ‘The Walk’  not only because of the excellent perks Hilton HHonors extends but also the views, location and rates were favourable.

Hilton has 3 properties in JBR. 2 (Hilton Resort and Hilton The Walk)  lie directly across the road from one another, the third, Hilton Doubletree lies a couple hundred meters down on JBR beach.

As a HHonors Elite I was given an upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartment on a high floor worth AED 1500 per night. Breakfast, high tea and hot snacks in the executive lounge are all complimentary for HHonors Diamond.

The cinema lies adjacent to both Hilton properties. At Sunset many swimmers splash about in the ocean at the end of another fantastic day.

If you have elite status in Hilton HHonors you wont need to buy supper outdoors.

There was a variety of cakes for dessert too.

Stunning warm clear ocean. I’ve surfed in isolated islands off Indonesia directly under the equator and most islands between The Tropic of Cancer to The Tropic of Capricorn and Dubai’s sea is still the warmest I’ve ever felt.
